Term of Service

By booking cleaning service with us, you are agree to abide by these terms of service. If you disagree to these terms and condition, please do not book cleaning service with us.

Booking Confirmation
When you book online or over the phone, your booking spot is not guaranteed for the day and time that you requested. We will e-mail or text you confirmation of your booking day and time. 

Method of payment

We don’t take check or cash, only credit or debit cards. When you book a cleaning with us, we require credit or debit cards. We will put a hold of fund on your card 5 days before the cleaning day. The hold amount is equal to the cleaning charges that you book for. We will not charge your card, until after the cleaning is completed. If the hold fails, we will notify you. If we can’t reach you, or the situation is not remedied within 24 hours of cleaning, your booking will be cancelled. 


Cleaning personnel

The number of cleaning crew for each cleaning will differ based on home size, complexity of tasks, and availability of cleaners. The cleaners are highly trained, and background checked, so you can rest assured that your home is being cleaned with utmost care and integrity.

Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to cancel/ refuse the service because of safety or health concerns, such as weapons on premise, extremely unsanitary or cluttered homes, inappropriate or uncomfortable situations, or any conditions that could jeopardize our cleaners health and safety.
Our cleaners will leave if they encounter situations mentioned above, and you will be notified. If you request unreasonable service, service beyond our scope of cleaning, our cleaner will leave, and you will be charged cancellation fee.

Preparing your home for cleaning
Our main objective is to professionally clean your home. The cleaning price is based on the time and effort, together with skills of our cleaners to clean your home. Please takes few minutes to tidy up your home, so our cleaners have easy access to clean the floor, kitchen counter, etc. If you prefer us to tidy up before cleaning, please give us a call ahead of time, so we can adjust your price and prepare for increase time needed to clean your home.

Extra service
Extra services are those outside the cleaning scope for each cleaning criteria. The scope of each cleaning services can be seen on our website under “services” heading. Any available services beyond each cleaning scope, is classified as extra service.

Size of the house
Sometimes it isn’t easy to determine our accurate home size. If there is discrepancy of the size of the your home, i.e the home square footage,than the actual footage per our source, you will be notified ahead of time before the cleaning started, and the cleaning fee will be adjusted accordingly.

Pets
We don’t mind pets stay indoor while we clean. However, sometimes pets can behave differently to strangers. If your pets become anxious and aggressive, due to safety reason, our cleaners are instructed to discontinue cleaning, and leave your house. If upon arrival, our cleaners concerned over potential aggresive pets, they will leave. If that is the case, you will be charged cancellation fee.

Service Price
Cleaning price may be adjusted based on the actual conditions of your home. If after we arrive, we determine it will take more time to clean your home, we will notify you to discuss price changes, or cleaning revision, to avoid surprises. If we can’t reach you, our cleaners will leave, and you will be charged cancellation fee.
Our prices listed on our websites or given over the phone, are based on our experience, but we reserve the right to reevaluate the price at anytime based on how long it takes to clean the house and or the actual condition of the house.

Payments
To reserve a cleaning with us, a deposit of $60.00 is required. We don’t take cash or check, only debit or credit card. Your card will be charged after the cleaning is completed.

Refund Policy
We don’t offer refund. Our claners are highly trained to provide the best cleaning service possible. However, we understand that since none of us perfect, some areas within the cleaning scope, may be missed sometimes. If this is the case, please contact us within 24 hours of the initial cleaning. We will send our cleaners back to your home to clean those missed areas within 24 to 48 hours, free of change.

Discount for Recurring Service
Recurring cleaning service discount starts After the initial cleaning service. If you don’t follow through to the regular cleaning frequecy that you signed up for, your cleaning discount will be adjusted to the lower cleaning fequency, which in this case means, less discount, thus higher price.

Rate Increase
Rate increase may happen anytime to reflect increase in the cost of living. We will notify you ahead of time of our rate increase.

Lockout
Please provide us access to your home by giving us code, key, or other method that is well communicated to us ahead of time. If on the day of cleaning, our cleaners are locked out of your home, we will contact you to request access. If after 20 minutes, we are not able to reach you, our cleaners will leave the premise, and you will be charged cancellation fee.

Security system
If you have security system, please turn it off before our cleaners arrive. If you prefer the cleaners to turn it off, please call our office ahead of time with the code and instructions. For recurring cleaning clients, if you change your security code, please let us know ahead of time, to avoid lockout charge.

Rescheduling and cancellation
If you are unable to keep your booking, please notify us within 48 hours of cleaning time to avoid $60.00 of cancellation fee.

Use of home ownerr vacuum
Due to liability concern, we are unable to use your vacuum cleaner.

Use of Home owner cleaning supply
If you prefer us to use your cleaning supply, we are not responsible for the damage that it may cause. Please have them ready for our cleaners to use. Our cleaners are not able to mix chemicals, or cleaning solutions due to safety issues.

Our scope of work
We are not able to clean hoarding home, mold removel, or cleaning areas that posses hazardous risk to our cleaners such as clean animal or human’s body fluid,urine, blood, vomit,feces, clean bird cages, or clean cat litter.

Unreachable areas and heavy items
Due to safety reasons, our cleaners can’t do the following tasks: clean outside windows or areas outside your home, clean areas higher than one step stool, moving objects heavier than 35 lbs. If you want our cleaners to clean behind or underneath heavy objects, please move it before the cleaners arrive, to insure successfull cleaning.

Loss and Damage Policy
Loss, breakage,and damage are rare, but our company carries insurance that covers those situations caused by our cleaners. We do not resonsible againts any damage or breakage caused by improperly installed items in your home, breakage due to normal wear and tear, or valuable items, such as artworks, collectibles or family heirlooms. For your valuable items mentioned above, or anything that hold high or special values to you and your familly, we ask you to instruct us how to properly handles those items.
If any loss, breakage, or damaga occurs, please notify us within 24 hours. Replacement with identical items will always be attempted, but not guaranteed.

Cleaners arrival window
We have morning schedule 8AM to 12.00 PM, and afternoon schedule 1.00 PM – 5.00 PM. If you have certain time in mind for the cleaner to arrive to your home, we will attemp it, but can’t guarantee it, due to the unpredictable nature of the service, traffic, weather, etc. We will call or text you the day before the cleaning for the aproximate arrival window of our clenears. On the day of cleaning, we will call or text you 30 minutes or so before the cleaners arrive at your home.

Holidays
We are closed on holidays. If any of your cleaning (i,e. one time or recurring cleaning) falls on holidays, we will call/text you to reschedule. We observe the following holidays

Inclement Weather
We follow local guidelines for safety due to inclement weather. We will be closed if King and Pierce county school district closed due to inclement weather.

Key Release
We prefer not to store your home key in our possesion. For recurring cleaning clients, we ask you to provide us access to your home for each cleaning. If there are any changes in security systems, please notify us ahead of time.

Non Solicitation of Elegant Duster Cleaning employee
As our customer, you agree not to solicit for hire any of our cleaners to work directly for you. We invest significant amount of time and money for our cleaners before sending them for their cleaning assignments.

Governing Law
Any claims in regard to Elegant Duster Cleaning services shall be governed by the Law of State of Washington without regards to its conflict of law provisions.
